How We Verify Data
Trust is earned. This page documents exactly how information on goldencorrals.us is verified — step by step — so you can judge our work for yourself.
Step 1: Start with official sources
Every guide begins at Golden Corral’s official website (goldencorral.com), the official restaurant locator, and official announcements. Prices, menu items, and policies are pulled from the source first — never from another blog’s copy of them.
Step 2: Cross-check everything
Official data is then cross-checked: menu PDFs against website listings, posted hours against multiple locations, promotional claims against the fine print. A fact goes live only after it survives at least two independent checks.
Step 3: Crawl real location data
Our location directory is built from a full crawl of Golden Corral’s official locator — all 331 US restaurants, with addresses and phone numbers. Location-level claims (hours, breakfast days) are verified against real restaurant data, not assumed from a single example.
Step 4: Account for franchise variation
Golden Corral is roughly 99% franchised. Prices, hours, and even menu availability legitimately differ between locations. When variation exists, we document it with real examples from multiple restaurants instead of pretending one number fits all.
Step 5: Date-stamp every guide
Each article carries a “last verified” date. You always know how fresh the information is — and we treat stale date stamps as a bug, not a feature.
Step 6: Re-verify on a schedule
Guides are re-checked regularly, and sooner when we learn something changed (a price update, a new promotion, a holiday schedule). High-traffic pages like hours and coupons get the most frequent reviews.
Step 7: Correct fast and openly
When we’re wrong, we fix it — usually within a day of a verified report — and update the verification date. Readers are our best fact-checkers: use the Contact page to report anything that looks off.
What we can’t guarantee
- Your local restaurant may differ. Franchisees set many prices and hours themselves. Always confirm with your location before making a trip — our guides tell you how.
- Promotions expire. Deals are verified at publication; limited-time offers can end without notice.
- Third-party data changes. Google Maps listings and delivery apps are outside our control.
These limitations are exactly why every guide includes verification dates and check-your-location guidance. See also our Disclaimer and Editorial Policy.
